Are you on the hunt for your dream job? From 24 - 25 September, Octopus Energy is hosting a 2-day in-person careers extravaganza in London, alongside the King's Trust and Indeed.

Day 1 will kick off with job pitches from awesome companies, followed by workshops delivered by Indeed’s Job Squad to help you build the skills you need to find a job, including:

🕵‍♂️ How to search for jobs
🌟 Creating a standout CV
🥇 Acing application forms
✍ Preparing for interviews

On Day 2, you’ll have the chance to interview with awesome companies, which could result in a second-round interview or a job offer.

And no matter the outcome, the King’s Trust will provide you with one-to-one support to plan your next steps.

Green Futures

- Empowering the next generation of climate leaders.

London Clean Air's Green Futures Events spotlight green skills and inspire people to imagine themselves as environmental innovators, engineers, designers, policy makers, heat pump and solar panel installers, project managers... all sorts!

Octopus Energy Equality Foundation
Workshops and Events

- Careers that count, all year round

The Octopus Energy Equality Foundation was created with one mission: to build a more equal and inclusive energy industry in the UK and beyond.

The energy and tech industries remain among the least diverse in the UK, with just 5% percent Black and ethnic minority representation. Environmentalism is even further behind as the second least diverse sector in the country, right after farming. This is not because of a lack of interest or skill. The challenge lies in access, opportunity, and support. The OEEF here to change that.

Here's what you can expect:

⚡ One or two day interactive career workshops hosted throughout the year that give an insight into the many careers available in green energy
🎬 Behind the scenes visits to wind farms, research labs, and technology innovation hubs
💡 Talks with experts from over forty different departments, including engineering, marketing, software development, and climate science
🙋🏾 Honest question and answer sessions with senior leadership, including Octopus Energy CEO Greg Jackson
🎪 Careers fairs and networking events featuring green employers and industry professionals
🎤 Guest events with high profile speakers such as White House advisor and climate activist Jerome Foster II

Beyond the Events

In addition to events and education, the Octopus Energy Equality Foundation supports charities and organisations doing vital work across the UK and internationally.

Our Grant Committee provides funding to community led initiatives that champion equality and sustainability. Projects we have supported include training solar engineers in Ghana, funding virtual work experience programmes through BuddyEd, installing solar panels on hospitals and schools in some of the most rural areas of the Global South, and backing charitable marathons raising money for climate focused causes. And much more...
